Travel Insurance Items Not Generally Covered in Standard Policy

If you plan on riding a mortorcycle or even a high powered moped be sure to let your travel insurance company know so that you can see if they will cover that aspect of your trip.  The following list of items or activities needs to be clearly defined with you travel insurance agent:

  • Riding a motorcycle
  • Riding a moped
  • Expensive jewelry
  • Expensive electronic equipment
  • Adventure sports

Some of the adventure sports not normally covered in the standard insurance police include:

  • Scuba Diving (there may be a depth limit)
  • Bungy jumping
  • Jetskiing
  • Parasailing
  • Rafting
  • Yacht racing
  • Windsurfing
  • Rock climbing
  • Snow Skiing

Be sure to not try to lie about your trip to save money on the travel insurance because you will only be cheating yourself out of proper coverage.
