Travel Insurance Terms Explained

Personal Accident

This part of the travel insurance policy is an amount to compensate you for your personal bodily loss during an accident.  This amount is based on what body part that you lost such as a leg, eye, arm, etc. There is actually a quoted amount for each type of loss.  Be sure to remember that the medical cost are covered through the medical part of the travel insurance policy.  This part of the policy is basically a token dollar amount for the loss of a body part.  Many people do not take this option which can save a little bit of he policy premium.
